Multiverse Computing
2026 · Lead UI/UX Designer · Multiverse Computing
A multi-brand design system and dashboard suite for the platform behind Europe's largest data centre expansion.
At Multiverse Computing I lead a small design team building the digital foundation for managing complex infrastructure. The Gigafactory platform is one product made of nine modules, each owned by a different backend team, so consistency had to live in the system rather than in any one screen.
Every module is built from the same component set. Click a module to see how its screen recombines the same parts.
Three tiers
I adapted Untitled UI into a three-tier variable architecture. Primitives hold raw values. Semantic tokens give them meaning. Mapped tokens bind that meaning to specific components, so a button never knows which hex it ends up with.
Pick a mapped token and switch theme or brand. Only the last hop changes.
Modes, not forks
The semantic tier carries independent Light/Dark and Foundry/Telefónica modes. One component library serves every theme and brand, with no duplicated components for the sister company.
Change once
I coordinated token-level structural alignment with Telefónica, a large frontend team and the backend teams behind each module. Because every module reads the same tokens, a single change reaches all nine at once.
Responsive by default
Spacing, type and layout live in their own Responsive collection, alongside 434 primitive, 434 semantic and 91 mapped variables. Operators use the platform on wall displays and laptops in mission-critical moments, so the same screen has to hold up at every size.
